News: Yeah Yeah Yeah it’s True! Yeah Yeah Yeahs have signed with Secretly Canadian and will release new music later this year!

The Yeah Yeah Yeahs have announced that they have signed to Secretly Canadian. This follows the previously-announced news of an Australian tour later this year, where they will be appearing at Splendour in the Grass as well as at a number of side shows. Apart from the Australian shows, they Yeah Yeah Yeahs will also be touring Europe and North America, with Japanese Breakfast and the Linda Lindas announced as the support acts at certain shows in America.

The band, made up of singer Karen O, guitarist Nick Zinner and drummer Jay Chase have also announced that they will be dropping new music later this year – their first since ‘Mosquito’ which was released in 2013. The Yeah Yeah Yeahs formed in 2000 and soon became the darlings of the rock renaissance of the early 2000s. They released four albums before embarking on solo projects after the release of ‘Mosquito’.
