Premiere: Toronto Duo The Lookout Service Share ‘Cut My Teeth’ From Debut Album

Released with their hotly anticipated debut album ‘The Gambit’, the new single ‘Cut My Teeth’ from The Lookout Service displays the high octane, vibrant alt-rock exploits that can be found across the full album.

Stergios Kalochoridis (vocals & guitar) and Robert Ragazzo (drums), the striking thing about the track is how full and driven it is despite staying true to the bands live set up with no addition of bass or production, relying simply on the duos musicianship to shine. Its infectious, anthemic nature echos the fearless storytelling of bands like Catfish and the Bottlemen and is of course comparable to The Black Keys and Royal Blood. Topped with the infectious, urgently delivered vocals, the track balances it’s high energy exterior with melodic hooks.

Reflecting on the inspiration behind “Cut My Teeth”, Stergios shares, “I wrote it when I was 19, and it’s about being frustrated and confused, and not fitting in anywhere you go. I wanted the song to be visceral and in your face.”

The full album ‘The Gambit’ is a journey through the bands poignant narratives and explosive melodies, offering some impressive guitar work and tight drums as well as spotless songwriting. From introspective ballads to adrenaline-fueled rock anthems, The Lookout Service unabashedly pushes boundaries, delivering a debut record that caters to all lovers of rock and everything in between.
