Canadian-born, Australia-based singer-songwriter Garrett Kato has released his latest single ‘Where the Vampires Hide’, which is out now via Nettwerk

“This story follows me on tour last year,” says Garrett. “It’s about the lines being blurred between being a touring artist and a father. Having spent countless days on the road I began to lose my identity as a partner and a father. Once I realised I wasn’t caring for the ones I needed most, I understood I needed them more than any amount of success.”.

Taken from Garrett’s forthcoming Distant Land EP, it sits comfortably in the singer songwriter genre, it does stand out form his contemporaries though if only down to his superb whispering vocal tone and the use of a myriad of instrumentation to hold the interest and keep your headphones firmly on.
