Track: Cassia Return With The New Summer Bop ‘High Tones’

Cassia return with the bopping, summery and effortlessly infectious new single ‘High Tones’.

Following last years album album ‘Why You Lacking Energy?’, a release which saw the band solidify their position as an exciting up and coming band, surely set to break into the mainstream any time soon, the band are now once again demonstrating their ability to draft vibrant neo-soul and funk tinted indie soundscapes.

Built around chorus soaked guitars, bright swaying drums and funky bass, the vibrant vocals deliver catchy, fluorescently joyous, catchy melodies. Capturing the essence of summer through the bopping verse, the track opens into a vibrant, gently atmospheric chorus as the vocals go falsetto and a fuzzy guitar line takes hold, delivering on the colourful, tropical nature of the soundscape with a sense of relaxed ease.

On the new release, the band says:

“The song was written from memories of being drunk at festivals last summer and the anticipation for festival season this year. Nothing beats that blissful chaos that always ensues. The sound of everything around you becoming modulated and weird, and your vision may get blurry, and you’re just so captivated in the moment. We’d get in the van with the lights of the road and the high tones ringing in our ears. Usually the mark of a memorable night. We wanted to make a song that encompassed that feeling for us, one you can dance to, that’s carefree & funky with loads of bounce and groove.”

Now preparing to support Circa Waves and Bastille on their UK tour, the three-piece enter festival season with the perfect new summer soundscape.
