Taken from his forthcoming debut album Chronology, Reggae/Dancehall singer Chronixx has dropped a new single, Likes. It comes ahead of a load of US dates with Zincfence Redemption, Jah9, Jesse Royal, Kelissa and Max Glazer (Federation Sound)., starting March 2nd.
On the self-produced track, Chronixx speaks is mind on a number of issues, from the current climate of dancehall, through to the hype created on social media. Over the stuttering, shuffling percussion, Chronixx lays his lines down with style and wraps them in a deliciously melodic little dancehall number, covered in little synth lines and sweetened even further with vocal harmonies spread liberally around.
