Joan & The Giants, the indie alt-pop sensation hailing from Boorloo/Perth, is propelling themselves into the vibrant realms of 2024 with an infectious burst of energy. At the forefront is their latest single, ‘Good Time‘ a tune that effortlessly emanates the group’s blissful and euphoric rock essence.

Overflowing with the distinctive freedom of indie-rock, ‘Good Time’ weaves a vibrant tapestry featuring lively guitars and a robust bass. All of this is masterfully brought together by the exceptional vocal talent of Grace Newton-Wordsworth. According to Grace, “‘Good Time’ is about being madly in love and letting go of control. This indie guitar-soaked summer song is a sexy ride, and it’s the first time I’ve let myself get sexy and feel sexy in a song. I just love the way it makes me feel, and I hope it brings some good times to people.“

Building on the triumphant wave of their 2023 achievements, highlighted by the release of stellar singles like ‘Beg‘ and the acclaimed ‘Cool Kid‘, Joan & The Giants have earned substantial recognition. Arun Kendall of Backseat Downunder aptly described ‘Cool Kid’ as “Heady intelligent pop of the highest order.” The WA Music Awards bestowed upon them seven nominations, with victories in categories such as Best Alternative/Indie Act, Best Single (‘Cool Kid’), and Best Music Video (‘Cool Kid’).

As they eagerly turn the page to embrace the opportunities of 2024, the band has unveiled a major announcement that will undoubtedly elevate their trajectory even higher. Joan & The Giants are set to share the stage with global icons P!NK and Tones And I at Perth’s prestigious Optus Stadium, marking a monumental moment in their career. This significant gig promises to be a pinnacle experience for both the band and their growing legion of fans, solidifying Joan & The Giants’ position as a force to be reckoned with in the alt/indie-rock scene.
