Track: Mastodon – Sickle And Peace

Clay McBride

Ahead of the October 29th release of their highly anticipated 8th studio album “Hushed And Grim”, Atlanta heavy rock quartet Mastodon present a brand new single ‘Sickle And Peace’

Their first full-length studio work in four years, Hushed And Grim was recorded in their hometown of Atlanta, over the course of the past 12 months with producer David Bottrill (Tool, Rush, Muse, Peter Gabriel).

An epic track with a tasty guitar riff and softly sung vocals that take on a whisper quality. The track is picked up with Brann Dailor’s huge drums that sound so good on this record. In fact the whole track is a rock masterpiece in production. Hunkering down for some harder sounds as the guitars start to get heavy and mean business before a huge solo breaks out. Epic in every way.
