Track: Talk Show Release Their Version Of Trouble In Collaboration With Eli Brown

David J East

London punks Talk Show have been working on a collaborative two-part project with Polydor Records-signed producer Eli Brown (known to many as part of Calvin Harris’ Love Regenerator project) and Hot Chip’s Joe Goddard. Last month, Part 1 of the project was launched, which saw Talk Show’s Harrison Swan lend his distinctive vocal to the Eli Brown track Trouble

Part 2 of the project has just arrived which sees Talk Show interpret ‘Trouble’ in their own way, produced by Joe Goddard,

Talk Show singer and guitarist Harrison Swann comments on the new track:

“Getting into the studio to record the track with Joe and Al at the helm was a really great progression. The track evolved to become a different kind of beast. I did feel like I had to step up and deliver. Just when I went in to do the vocal takes, I do remember standing there in the vocal booth thinking, “right. I’ve gotta fucking blow this mic off it’s hinges”.”

Keeping with the essence of the Eli Brown version, Talk Show’s version of ‘Trouble’ simmers and builds with an urban swagger. Swann delivers through out this track giving a fantastic vocal performance with the band giving an intense music backing.
