Bluesfest Byron Bay have today announced their final artist announcement for the upcoming 2025 festival. Legendary US guitarist, Tom Morello and Indonesian blues powerhouse, Electric Cadillac now round out the 36th iteration of Australia’s most-popular, long-running festival.

With only 70 days until the gates are opened, the festival is promising something for everybody – from Chaka Khan and Toto, through to Here Come The Mummies and Taj Farrant, there are now over 50 artists locked in.
Grammy-winning, Harvard-educated, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inducted artist, Tom Morello is living proof of the transformative power of rock’n’roll. Known for his innovative guitar playing, Morello is a ground-breaking artist both in his solo career and as an original member of the rock bands Rage Against the Machine and Audioslave – two acts responsible for multiple Grammy Awards and a combined 30 million albums sold worldwide.
His trademark style was a crucial component of Rage Against the Machine, helping launch him and the band to Grammy-winning, multi-platinum success, which in turn led to his recognition by Rolling Stone Magazine as one of the “Greatest Guitar Player(s) of All-Time”. He has subsequently been inducted into both the Rock & Roll and Metal Hall of Fame. After not just one but two multi-million selling bands, Morello’s signature guitar can also be heard in the supergroup Prophets of Rage and in his 6-year stint in Bruce Springsteen’s E-Street Band.
In addition to his numerous musical achievements, Morello is also a vocal social and political activist.
With a new single out and an upcoming album in the works, Morello’s set at Bluesfest 2025 promises to be a high-energy, electrifying performance, showcasing his brilliant musicianship and relentless commitment to using music as a force for change.
Also joining the lineup is Electric Cadillac, a high-energy blues-rock band hailing from Jakarta. Fusing Chicago blues, soul, funk, and hard-hitting rock, this dynamic group delivers a powerful sound driven by fiery guitar work, deep blues piano, and a rhythm section guaranteed to get audiences moving. Their fresh take on classic blues-rock makes them an exciting addition to this year’s festival.
Bluesfest Byron Bay is being held across the Easter long weekend from Thursday, 17th April through to Sunday, 20th April. Limited tickets are still available on the Bluesfest website.
The full artist daily timetable is set to be released next week (stay tuned).
