Indie pop’s up and comer Rose Devika, shares the infectious new single ‘i take it personally’.

Building a reputation for her heartfelt, poetic lyricism, Rose infuses this track with a playful wit, crafting a song that explores the all-too-familiar emotional turmoil of relationships. At its core, ‘i take it personally’ delves into the common yet frustrating experience of being told not to take someone’s mood to heart—while feeling exactly the opposite. Rose describes the song as “lighthearted and slightly tongue-in-cheek,” yet still rooted in the raw emotions that come with navigating romantic relationships. “I wanted to write something that felt musically very upbeat and energetic, with slightly edgier but still relatable lyrics,” she explains.

Self written, recorded, produced, mixed, and mastered, ‘i take it personally’ is a radiant example of Rose’s abilities and depth as an artist. Catchy, warming, heartfelt and well balanced, the single holds a striking commercial appeal through its light feel and playful, relatable lyricism.
