Emerging from the American South with a sound that fuses metallic aggression with hardcore urgency, the band have quickly established themselves as one of the more compelling names in the contemporary underground. Their latest track offers a glimpse into the breadth of It Is Going To Get Dark, pairing hulking riffs and tightly wound rhythms with a more emotionally exposed core.
Produced, engineered and mixed by longtime collaborator Kevin Langley, It Is Going To Get Dark was written and recorded in Alabama between extensive touring commitments. Across its material, the record channels personal struggles and broader anxieties while maintaining the uncompromising intensity that has become central to NO CURE’s identity.
Since forming, the band have steadily built momentum through a series of increasingly heavy releases and relentless touring. Their debut album represents the next stage in that progression, expanding their sonic palette without abandoning the ferocity that first drew attention to the group.
North American audiences will have the chance to hear the new material in a live setting later this year when NO CURE embark on a headline tour with support from Big Ass Truck I.E., Bayway and Boltcutter.
