Video: Scratch – Soak

A while back we wrote about a terrific cross ocean collaboration between Perth musician Ruz Irani  and New Yorker Avinash Lalwani under the name Scratch.

Scratch are back with a video of the song ‘Soak’ – a song we described as sounding like Radiohead meeting Feeder – delicate guitars, synth, and vocals in between thunderous walls of guitar and soaring choruses. The new video recognises the plight of the displaced – combining a great song with a heartfelt message relevant for our times:

Acknowledging the passage in time since their last release, the band says:

We expected to have our first music video released a year ago. But there were a lot of challenges, life challenges. And it’s been quite the year. So as you can imagine, we are extremely happy to be getting this one out, finally. Thanks to Nate LaGuardia from LaGuardia Productions for working with us and shooting this video. We enjoyed making it!

Hopefully we will see a new album in 2020.
