Fresh from the release of her acclaimed new album LOOKING FOR PEOPLE TO UNFOLLOW and a breakout year that has included a Coachella debut and a memorable appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Ecca Vandal has announced an Australian homecoming tour for November.

The run will see the fiercely independent artist bring her genre-defying sound to Brisbane’s The Brightside, Melbourne’s Howler and Sydney’s Oxford Art Factory, capping off a remarkable 2026 that has further cemented her status as one of Australian music’s most compelling voices. Backseat Mafia caught Vandal earlier this year supporting Deftones and witnessed first-hand the unrelenting energy that has made her one of the country’s most formidable live performers. Read our review of LOOKING FOR PEOPLE TO UNFOLLOW  HERE an album that embraces chaos, vulnerability and creative freedom in equal measure.

Recorded alongside producer Richie Buxton in the unlikely setting of his childhood home, LOOKING FOR PEOPLE TO UNFOLLOW emerged from a conscious retreat from the endless churn of algorithms and social media. The result is an album that feels refreshingly unconcerned with trends, instead drawing strength from Vandal’s instinctive fusion of punk, hip-hop, soul, electronic music and her jazz roots.

That refusal to be boxed in has defined Vandal’s career from the beginning. Political, rebellious and proudly DIY, she has spent the past decade carving out a space entirely her own, turning the absence of representation into motivation. Her message has resonated far beyond Australia, earning support from everyone from triple j to Pitchfork and NME while building a reputation as one of the most electrifying performers around.

With a year that has already taken her from Coachella to arenas with Deftones and onto American late-night television, Ecca Vandal’s return to intimate Australian stages promises to be one of the most exciting homecomings of the year.
