Karan Aujla’s remarkable rise from songwriter to one of Punjabi music’s biggest global stars continues with the announcement of his P-Pop Culture Tour, which will bring the Canadian-based artist to Australia and New Zealand this August.

The run begins at Perth’s RAC Arena before heading to Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane, culminating with a special Auckland show at Spark Arena. The tour arrives in support of P-Pop Culture, an album that has further cemented Aujla’s position at the forefront of a movement that is taking Punjabi music to an increasingly international audience.

Born in India and relocating to Canada as a teenager, Aujla initially established himself behind the scenes, penning songs for some of Punjabi music’s biggest names before stepping into the spotlight himself. Since the release of breakthrough single ‘Don’t Worry’ in 2018, his ascent has been remarkable. His debut album BacTHAfuKUP (B.T.F.U.) reached the upper reaches of Spotify’s Global Chart, while subsequent releases have transformed him into one of the most streamed and influential artists in the genre.

The release of P-Pop Culture has marked another milestone. Blending Punjabi pop with hip-hop and North American influences, the album debuted at number one on Spotify in India and Pakistan and reached the top five in Canada, while also setting a new benchmark for Punjabi-language albums in the country. In doing so, Aujla has continued to push the boundaries of what Punjabi music can achieve on the global stage.

With more than three billion YouTube views and a fanbase spanning continents, Aujla’s success reflects the growing reach of Punjabi music beyond traditional markets. The P-Pop Culture Tour offers Australian and New Zealand audiences the opportunity to experience one of the genre’s most important contemporary voices as he continues to redefine the sound and scope of modern Punjabi pop.
