Premiere: Spanish dream pop shoegaze titans Celestial Bums exclusively unveil video for the shimmering new track ‘The Letters’

We are very excited to premiere the video for the new track ‘The Letters’ from Barcelona’s shoegaze/dream pop maestros Celestial Bums. It’s the second single from the band’s forthcoming album ‘Minutes From Heaven’, out in February 2026 via the Italo-American label We Were Never Being Boring (WWNBB).

‘The Letters’ is a shimmering, glittering tack that seems to float in the ether like contrails in the sky. The guitars sparkle over a synth wash and the vocals, sung in English, are soft and reflective, dreamy and ethereal. A twisted guitar riff snakes in-between the notes, with a slight twang – enigmatic and haunting.

The video, edited by Augusto J. Marchetti, consists of archival footage from a piece called ‘Seeds and Seeds Dispersal’ which perfectly matches the dreamy music – creating a sense of growth and entropy in a shaky black and white montage that is mesmerising and immersive.

This is enthralling and exciting stuff from Spain – celestial indeed.

The track is out on 2 December and will be available via all the usual sites and the band’s links here.

Formed in 2010, this Barcelona-based collective —which has seen numerous European musicians pass through its ranks— are regarded as pioneers of neo-psychedelia in Spain. Since their self-titled debut (2012), they’ve carved out a place in the rising European scene, sharing stages and collaborations with the international new wave of the genre. Their path includes a split EP with Helicon (2013, Psyilocybin Sounds), an official Rolling Stones cover for Cleopatra Records (2014), and two further albums —Ascend (2016, EXAG’) and Sleep Inside A Horse (2020, Analog Love)— which have cemented their status as an undeniable reference in the scene.

We Were Never Being Boring (WWNBB).
