Taken from her first album in six years, Agora, recently rescheduled for release on August 21st on [PIAS] recordings, iconic Brazilian artist Bebel Gilberto has released a new video for the track Deixa.
The track has this instantly enthralling Brazilian shuffle, the melodies and the arrangement of it as enthralling as Bebel’s sultry vocal. But, as the video accentuates, there’s a playfulness too about Deixa that adds to its attraction.
About the accompanying video, shot at The Nomad Hotel in Los Angeles, and the track, Bebel says: “I filmed this video in Los Angeles at the end of 2019 with one of my best friends, director Erik Sohlstrom, and I look back so fondly on what was a truly joyous day,” said Gilberto. “Deixa is a playful song and at the time we were both feeling happy and just wanted to emphasise the fun we always had together.”
