Out right now is the debut single from Liverpool trio Husband Material, Spring. Formed in November 2008, the band have been making waves locally, gaining fans and supporting the likes of Otherkin and Husky Loops.
Spring sees the band skirt around everything from shoegaze, The Cure, to a nod towards pop punk, while finding a sound that’s definitely their own. Scuzzy guitars and melancholy melodies are the order of the day as the vocals detail the heartbreak (You know exactly what you want / and I know it isn’t me) and draws you in.
